What Swimming Pools are open Summer 2020?



With Covid-19 it was a big question among families if pools would open at all this summer. Gov. Beshear announced that pools could officially open on June 29th. Here is the list of information about local Pools in and around Louisville:


Open:

  • Hurricane Bay at Kentucky Kingdom

    • announced they will open on July 3rd, please visit KentuckyKingdom.com for more information or to purchase tickets

  • Calypso Cove at YMCA Northeast

  • Plainview Swim Center

    • Opens June 29th

    • There will be no furniture (must bring your own)

    • Reduced capacity

    • For more information or to purchase day passes please visit Jeffersotownky.gov

  • Algonquin Pool

    • Limited capacity to 45 swimmers per 2 hour session 11am-1pm or 2-4pm

    • Register at Metro Park Aquatics (502)897-9949

    • General Admission is $2 per person

    • Opens July 9th

    • Closed on Mondays

      • Sun Valley Pool

    • Limited capacity to 45 swimmers per 2 hour session 11am-1pm or 2-4pm

    • Register at Metro Park Aquatics (502)897-9949

    • General Admission is $2 per person

    • Opens July 8th

    • Closed on Mondays

  • Nelson Hornbeck Park in Fairdale

    • Limited capacity to 45 swimmers per 2 hour session 11am-1pm or 2-4pm

  • All About Kids

  • Open Swim sessions 2-4pm

  • Indoor Pool

  • Locations at Blankenbaker Pkwy and Crestwood Station

  • Clear Creek Family Aquatic Center in Shelbyville

    • Open 11am-5pm Monday-Saturday & 12pm-5pm on Sundays

    • $5 per person

    • 50 person capacity, 1st come 1st serve basis

    • Bring your own chair

    • Outdoor pool open for free swim, Indoor pool only open for lap swim

  • Jewish Community Center

    • Family & Baby pool hours 11am-6:30pm Monday-Friday & 10am-7:30-m Saturday & Sunday

    • Reservations required

    • Swim times are 90 minutes with 30 minute Changeovers


Open for Lap Swim Only:

  • Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center

    • Open for Lap Swim only, weight room and silver sneakers

  • Lakeside Swim Club

    • 18+ years and older members only

    • Open for lap swim and weight room only

  • Blairwood

    • Open for Lap Swim, Swim team practice and Swim lessons

  • Anderson Pool (Fort Knox)

    • Lap swim open 6am-8am & 11am-6pm Monday-Friday 9am-4pm Saturday & Sunday

    • Limited for lap swim to 12 patrons

    • Water Aerobics open 9:45am-10:45am

    • Limited to 20 patrons for water aerobics

  • Norton Pool at Camp Taylor- closed due to leaks and needs to be repaired

  • Juniper Hill Aquatic Center

  • River Run in New Albany

  • Sellersburg Pool

  • Jeffersonville Aquatic Center

  • Clarksville Cove Aquatic Center

  • Bridgepoint Swim Club
