Caesar’s Casino Social Distance Style

My husband and I got the extremely rare opportunity for date night! My mom came over to babysit (the 1st time since quarantine) and we had a few hours to just ourselves. We decided to go to Caesar’s Casino in Southern Indiana. (Click here for the entire list of their social distance protocols)

After parking, we started walking in and noticed they had an area in the parking garage separated for diamond members and gold members. They had employees helping guests line up socially distanced to enter the building. Each person that arrived had to stand in front of what looked like a metal detector to get our temperature taken. Once we were cleared we could enter and get our ID's scanned. Masks were a requirement for everyone.

We were hungry so we decided to grab a bite at the little eatery in the back. We couldn't help but notice the amount of hand sanitizer stands on the way to the restaurant and usually the entire casino is packed with people, but the amount of people was drastically reduced. The lines had markers on the floor for social distancing. All of our condiments were given to us in line, our meals came in to go boxes and our utensils were wrapped in plastic. Some tables were marked off so you couldn't sit there. The drinks which are always complimentary had a sign to get a new cup for every refill. There was a few employees that were right on top of cleaning and sanitizing as each table left the restaurant area.

After we finished our meals we walked around a little while before we found some games to play. I'm more of a penny slots kind of gal, where my husband like to play cards.

The card tables had limits of 3 people per table, changed out stacks of card more frequently and sanitized immediately after someone got up. Typically I like to sit with my husband while he plays, but I had to stand behind him.

For slot machines many were marked closed or off and there were employees cleaning slot machines and chairs. Typically when I go I see many people smoking, but this time I only saw one person smoking and it looked like she had just pulled her mask down.

Overall I think Caesar's is doing a great job with keeping the public safe and healthy. You can tell they really made a great effort in social distancing procedures.
