Brown Park

Brown Park is my favorite park in the entire city. While the playgrounds and bathrooms are currently closed due to Covid-19, the walking path is currently open. Located in the heart of St. Matthews, directly between St. Matthews Mall and Baptist Hospital East. There are 3 different stroller and wagon friendly walking paths, a creek with lots of ducks and geese, tall trees, picnic tables and a nice sized meadow perfect for playing Frisbee or spreading a blanket and having a nice picnic with the family. The walking trail has some cement benches in case you need to make a stop and some beautiful bridges with a gorgeous look of the creek.

My kids love it when we bring things to feed the ducks. What is safest for ducks is oats, corn and bird seed.

Last year they upgraded their playground. Typically every year they do a big holiday light display around Christmas, and a huge family friendly trick or treating event for Halloween.
